"Hulk is strongest there is!"

I was a little bummed Friday afternoon as I slogged my way through web updates, paperwork and sales reports. I really wanted to make the trip to Denver Comic Con this weekend, but I had to cancel my plans due to some recent medical expenses. The tedious end-of-the-week projects were only making things worse.

To lift my spirits, my wife and kids gave me an early Father's Day present yesterday: a yearly subscription to Marvel Unlimited!

For those of you that are unfamiliar with Marvel Unlimited, it is a Netflix-esque comic book service giving members access to over 13,000 digital comics. My annual subscription was $69 per year, which breaks down to less than the cost of two or three floppies per month.

New comics are added six-months after they are originally released, which is not a big deal for someone like me. I switched from monthly comics to trades almost eight years ago and, even then, I don't buy that many per year. Most of my purchases come from Dark Horse or Image Comics, so I'm a little behind what is going on in the Marvel Universe.

With access to this many titles, where do I begin?

"Batman is a hoarder."

Ulises FarinasIllustrator

Ulises Farinas is the amazing artist behind Gamma from Dark Horse Comics and his take on Batman's trophy room serves as reminder not to let our collections get the better of us.

Please take a minute or two to visit his website for the full size image and it's companion piece, "Batman Inspects a Gift."
